Drill team is a marching unit that can be used for parades, ceremonial events and competitions in accordance to TC3-21.5. When competing, the team can be separated into different teams, platoons and squads. Such examples include LET 1 squad, unarmed/armed platoons, unarmed/armed squad, exhibition, male/female color guard, and more.

JLAB is divided into two teams: Academic and Leadership. The Academic team studies and answers SAT-styled questions of Math, Reading, Science, and Current Events. The Leadership team studies and answers JROTC-based question such as the history and current information about the JROTC program and the military. They will be tested to see if they qualify for the national bowl.

Raiders
A Junior ROTC raiders team is the equivalence of the Army ROTC "Ranger" competition in college. However it is far less dangerous than that. This is when the "teamwork" comes into play when trying to accomplish the JROTC goal. Such events include the 5k team run, rope bridge, tire flip, and PT tests.
Honor GuardHonor Guard is a ceremonial unit. Participating students go to events such as football games, Veteran's Day, Memorial Day, and any other flag raising ceremonial events.

Color GuardColor Guard is four-man ceremonial unit and competitive team that presents the colors in accordance with TC3-21.5 which is the drill manual.
